Ready, Set, Go: Accelerating Data Reporting at Wray Ward

(Justin Holt) #1

Join us at Wray Ward on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for “Ready, Set, Go: Accelerating Data Reporting at Wray Ward” by Trevor Plassman, presented through Modern Developers of Charlotte.

Go is a powerful language with a myriad of applications and use cases. Using a case study on data reporting over APIs, this talk will serve as an introduction to the features and benefits of using Go, including concurrency, communication over channels and abstraction of behavior into interfaces.

Trevor Plassman is a digital developer at Wray Ward. I have been writing software professionally since 2014, and for education & hobby since 2006. My formal education is in Mechanical engineering and my first programs were written in MATLAB. Since then, my experience has evolved from writing macros in Visual Basic, to programming logic for an autonomous vehicle, to writing an API driven web app for editing video. Currently I work to develop unique and creative solutions for our clients at Wray Ward
